Maine – 2022

It’s about time we had a chance to get together and knit in person, don’t you think?  I don’t know about you, I can say that I personally have missed being with all of the knitters in person! So much so that I’ve decided to create an entire week-long event in Maine in May of 2022. If you know me at all you know that I love to learn new things, I love to explore,  and mostly just laugh, all the while having tons of fun!

We’ll be having a Wellness, Sip, and wool event with some of your favorite teachers and a few new ideas too! The event will take place May 13- 21, 2022. We will begin in Freeport, Maine on Saturday, May 13 with registration at 5 PM and Cocktail Hour/Meet and Greet starting at 6 pm. Classes will begin on Saturday morning following breakfast. We will be traveling to Bar Harbor, Maine, and back to Freeport before departing on May 21. I think that you’ll be thrilled with the line-up for the week, I know that I am!

Travel Insurance- You will be required to purchase your own travel insurance. Please consider the insurance that covers all cancelations. After the global pandemic, I think that we can all agree that full coverage that covers any reason for cancellation will be a great investment.

Here are a few that I can find that have cancel for any reason as an option. Please do diligent research on your own.
Travel Guard-

You may cancel 14 days from the date of your registration sans a cancelation fee of $500.

Please specify your roommate. Otherwise, I will pair you with a roommate for the trip.

I think that you’ll be thrilled with the line-up for the week, I know that I am!

We’ll be joined by knitting rockstars Alicia Plummer and Keith Leonard. Jackie Ottino the dyer extraordinaire will be leading us in a fabulous dye experience. Kayla will be joining us to teach us about how to use essential oils for perfumes and healing remedies too. I know that you’ll all be thrilled to know that Chef Carol will be spending a day with us. She’ll be doing a class that will culminate with all of us enjoying what we’ve made in a fabulous dinner together! (I, for one, can’t wait to actually get to eat with Chef Carol! Woohoo!

In addition to the teachers you’re familiar with we’ll be meeting some new teachers as well. Charlie and Terrill will be teaching us and will demonstrate unique hand-blown glass for us. We will be going to their actual studio Tandem Glass in Dresden, Maine.

Kathi Langelier from Herbal Revolution will be guiding us as we each make our own teas. Kathi is a herbalist who has been practicing for over 25 years. I love that she has cashmere goats!

David Lloyd will be guiding us as we tour Acadia National Park. David has lived in the Acadia area for nearly 25 years and is a great storyteller and has a unique perspective and so much knowledge of the history of that area that only a local could know.

In addition to the classes and teachers, we’ll be hanging out with we’ll have a small juried marketplace. (Yes, Keith will be vending) We’ll have an opportunity for some free time to explore the local culture both in Freeport, and Bar Harbor.

I hope you’ll consider joining me in Maine for a week of learning, exploration, and most of all fun with other knitters!
